This superb event at village Stoke Bruerne had many attendees – boaters, vintage boats, walkers (like me) and others gathered from the locality.
My main interest is to relate this to the superb canal system there. I will later report on the wonderful atmosphere…. created by the locals wearing war time and period dress, backgrounded by this superb village on the GU canal, near Northampton. Luckily the weather was sunny and warm for most of the day.
Meanwhile, walking from bottom lock 20 to top lock 14 where the major part of the event was taking place, I encountered some friendly people and their boats and dogs.
