The Leicester Line presented here is a BW named section of the original navigation which was 78 miles long stretching from Eastwood in the North down to Norton Junction in the South a collection of 5 original canals.
The Leicester line covered here stretches from Aylestone in the North, 3 miles South of Leicester, where it joins the River Soar down to Norton Junction in the South, 3 miles North West of Daventry, where it joins the main Grand Junction Canal.

The site pages relating to this navigation are currently under construction. The Watford Locks will be added very soon, closely followed by the Foxton Clocks and other notable scenes.

Click on a stretch of canal below this heading in the left sidebar to see details of it.

Below is a Google map of the canal. You can adjust what you see using the controls in the top left and right corners. Clicking on Earth is particularly revealing, I feel, if you drag to an area then enlarge it using the + control.
