We met and talked at Lapworth on 3 July 2010. I think he was handling his boat on his own that day!

We discussed how Caroline Spelman, the new Secretary of State for the Environment, was a tremendous choice for this post being a firm advocate and supporter of the canals (and more! she is MP for Meriden). She is also a member of Terry's Diagonal Lock Advisory Group.
